Apple iPhone 5 Demand Getting Weaker

Apple iPhone 5 demand is getting weaker. It has been below than expected. And this is why Apple has decided to cut short on it order with suppliers of LCD panels for the iPhone 5 in the current quarter. Apple is reducing initial order of 65 million units in the quarter by telling its suppliers Japan Display, Sharp and South Korean company LG Display to cut down on the supplies.
As per a report from WSJ
Apple's orders for screens for the January-March quarter, for example, have dropped to roughly half of what it had previously planned to order, two of the people said. The U.S. company has also cut orders for components other than screens, according to one of the people.
Well, blame it on global economic slowdown or the pricing factor, I think it is more than that. First, I have to say that iPhone 5 is lacking innovations. It is same as its predecessor iPhone 4S with few minor design changes. No doubt, iPhone 5 still is a wonderful gadget but unfortunately, people want to see something more and exciting. Also, as always...pricing remains the single biggest concern with apple phones and iPhone 5 is not an exception..especially if you are to sale it here in the countries like India, etc..
